Nishitha Degree College was started in 1994 by the establishment of Nishitha Educational Academy. It (NEA) was registered through Letter No.5621/1993 dt.27-12-1993.
    Professional Course Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) was approved by AICTE during 1995-1996 with intake seats 30 by F.No: 411/ AP-36/APR (CS)/BOS/95. Dated: 17.10.1995
    MCA Course was started in the year 1995 under Affiliated to Osmania University by Affiliation Order No: 3450/H/1469/95/Acad. Dated: 31.10.1995
    Later, AICTE gave Provisional Approval with Increase Intake Seats from 30 to 60 in MCA Course during the year 2004-2005 by F.No: AP-37/ET-APR (CS)/95.
    AICTE gave Provisional Approval with Intake 60 in Management Program Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Course during 2008-2009. The college was recognized by AICTE with Permanent ID 1-8834571 in the year 2011-12.
    College was approved by AICTE with Increase in intake seats in MBA Course from 60 to 120 in the year 2013-14.
    College was approved by AICTE with Increase in intake seats in MBA Course from 120 to 180 and MCA Course from 60 to 120 in the year 2020-21.
    College was approved by AICTE with Increase in intake seats in MCA Course from 120 to 180 in the year 2022-23.
    Later the Affiliated under the jurisdiction of Osmania University situated at Nizamabad Dist. are transferred herewith to the Telangana University, Nizamabad from the Academic Year 2011-12 Colleges due the bifurcation of Osmania University in the year 2011 vide Lr.No: 452/H/Affiliation/Acad/2011-12/Acad/IV-2 Dated: 19.07.2011
